I got some Sony HDR-AX40 MP4 videos from my client. And I want to transfer the Sony HDR-AX40 MP4 videos to FCP X for further editing. However, they were refused by FCP X. I can not import the MP4 videos from Sony HDR-AX40 to FCP X directly. How should I do? Help me, thank you!”Recently, Sony has released a new camera Sony HDR-AX40. The top-flight 4K Handycam? makes movies more magical. Balanced Optical SteadyShot? and Fast Intelligent AF are reassuringly responsive. Surround sound recording enhances natural dimension. High-speed recording, Time-lapse Capture and other effects make movies more expressive. So many of the camcorder’s sophisticated functions are all so user-friendly.
MP4 is a final delivery lossy video format which is not suitable for editing in non-destructive video editing software like Final Cut Pro. Though Final Cut Pro 7 and Final Cut Pro X update to import MP4 video, it only support MP4 encoded with H.264. If the MP4 is encoded with other video codec, Final Cut Pro X/7 will still fail to import MP4.
As many users get the Sony HDR-AX40, more problems are coming up: some of them have the need to import Sony HDR-AX40 MP4 in FCP X an Premiere Pro CC editing on Mac OS X, but they always meet the importing and editing or no sounds and audio issues on Mac OS X(El Capitan included).
