Madden NFL 22, the game's hybrid narrative/career mode Face of the Franchise is back with a brand-new story named "United We Rise". Players can now be linebackers for their career as a single player. The previous version of Face of the Franchise was restricted to running backs only and quarterbacks. The character in "United We Rise" will also serve as the player's avatar in The Yard, the new arcade-style game-like multiplayer feature which Madden NFL 21 introduced.

Madden NFL 22 launches Aug. 20 on Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. The cover stars are the quarterbacks from last year's Super Bowl -- Tampa Bay's Tom Brady and Kansas City's Patrick Mahomes, both of who have been featured on Madden covers in the past (Brady for Madden NFL 18, and Mahomes for Madden NFL 20). These new features, such as Next-Gen Stats and home field advantages as well as brand-new settings and games, won't be available on PCs and older consoles.
