ISLAMABAD, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- At least two Pakistani soldiers were killed and three others injured in a landmine blast in the country's northwest tribal region of South Waziristan on Sunday, said a military statement.
The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), a mouthpiece of Pakistan army Marian Hossa Jersey , said that the incident took place when a roadside planted landmine explosion hit a military vehicle in Barmal area of South Waziristan, a tribal region bordering Afghanistan.
The forces'vehicle was patrolling the area during a search operation by the army when it struck a landmine.
Two personnel died on the spot while three others were critically injured as their vehicle was completely destroyed in the incident.
Security forces rushed to the site and shifted the bodies and injured to a field hospital in the Wana district of the region.
